Synopsis:

This is a historical drama, portraying the early life of Winston Churchill. It portrays his childhood years, his time as a war correspondent in Africa, and culminating with his first election to Parliament. Anne Bancroft stars as his mother Jennie and Robert Shaw as his father, Lord Randolph. Anthony Hopkins plays Lloyd George, Randolph Churchill's nemesis. The film is based on Sir Winston Churchill's memoirs, "My Early Life".
