Synopsis:

The film tells the story of a city lawyer who comes across the case of an 18-year-old boy in remote rural Zululand who has killed a baby in the mistaken belief he has killed an evil spirit, known in South Africa as the "Tokoloshe." The lawyer takes the case and enters a world of witchcraft and mysticism to discover the truth about the killing - and about the dark secrets he has buried within himself.

A Reasonable Man has been hailed as a breakthrough for South African cinema, a movie that has made it onto international screens. It was shot entirely on location in Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, and was completed in December of 1998.
